The Bloody Mary Shrimp is the pinnacle of red Neocaridina genetics. Unlike the Red Cherry or Painted Fire Red whose color resides entirely in their outer shell (exoskeleton), the Bloody Mary's intense crimson color is actually carried in their tissue/flesh. This gives them a distinct, mesmerizing, deep translucent ruby-red appearance that seems to glow from within. They also feature a shorter rostrum (nose) than typical cherry shrimp. While slightly more demanding regarding water stability than standard cherries, they are a spectacular addition for the intermediate hobbyist looking to upgrade their colony. Raised in pristine conditions, our Bloody Marys are guaranteed to be true-line with zero hybridization.
