Keeping Assassin Snail
Size, space and water
Usually around 2.5 cm. Allow clean sand for burrowing, stable mineral-containing water and room to forage. A mature 20-litre aquarium is a conservative starting point for a small number, with more space as stocking increases. Reference temperature: 21–27°C. A social group is not required.
Diet and compatibility
They eat other snails and animal-based foods. Do not rely on them to solve overfeeding, and do not keep them with valued snails. Fish eggs and vulnerable shrimp can also be at risk.
Identity and care confirmation
The existing catalog names this stock Clea helena, now generally treated as Anentome helena. Confirm supplier identification and holding-water conditions before choosing companions.
Before ordering
Confirm current sale size, sex or grade if relevant, and the supplied portion for plants. Photos and illustrations do not establish the size or appearance of the animals or plants currently available. Breeding origin and supplier quarantine records have not been verified for this batch.
Arrival and support
Prepare a mature aquarium and check its temperature and water chemistry before arrival. Ask us for transfer guidance suited to your water and transit conditions; do not apply a fixed acclimation time to every shipment. Keep shipping water out of the aquarium.
Read the shipping and DOA policy before opening shipping bags. Physical returns are not accepted; eligible DOA claims are handled separately. Contact hello@nanoaquatics.in for confirmation.
