Keeping Cardinal Tetra
Adult size and space
Approximately 3.5 cm standard length. Plan a tank base of 60 × 30 cm (about 54 litres). Adult reference size is not sale size.
Group and water
Keep 8–10 or more. Reference range: 23–29°C; pH 3.5–7.5; 1–12 dGH. Stability matters; do not force sudden changes to reach an extreme of a reference range.
Feeding and compatibility
Provide small prepared, live and frozen foods. Match companions to warm soft-water conditions; avoid predators and sudden water changes. Tiny shrimplets may be eaten; planted cover reduces exposure but is not a guarantee.

Confirm current sale size, sex or grade if relevant, and the supplied portion for plants. Photos and illustrations do not establish the size or appearance of the animals or plants currently available. Breeding origin and supplier quarantine records have not been verified for this batch.
Arrival and support
Prepare a mature aquarium and check its temperature and water chemistry before arrival. Ask us for transfer guidance suited to your water and transit conditions; do not apply a fixed acclimation time to every shipment. Keep shipping water out of the aquarium.
