Sleek, gothic, and incredibly striking, the Black Rose Shrimp adds a touch of dramatic elegance to any aquascape. These shrimp possess an opaque, deep black coloration that looks stunning when placed over light-colored substrates or contrasted against vibrant green and red aquatic plants. Bred from the Chocolate lineage, the Black Rose is a stable, hardy variant that does well in standard Neocaridina parameters. While their care is identical to Cherry Shrimp, maintaining the intense black coloration requires a mature setup and a high-quality diet. They are active and fascinating to watch as their tiny white claws move rapidly against their jet-black bodies while they graze.
