Boraras urophthalmoides
Least Rasbora and Exclamation Point Rasbora are two names for one tiny schooling species. A dark flank stripe and separate tail-base mark give it its familiar trade name.

Keeping Least Rasbora
Adult size and space
Approximately 1.6 cm standard length. Plan a tank base of 45 × 30 cm (about 40 litres). Adult reference size is not sale size.
Group and water
Keep 8–10 or more. Reference range: 20–28°C; pH 6.0–7.0; 1–10 dGH. Stability matters; do not force sudden changes to reach an extreme of a reference range.
Feeding and compatibility
Use very small live, frozen and prepared foods. A mature aquarium with gentle flow and diminutive peaceful companions is preferable to a busy community. Tiny shrimplets may be eaten; planted cover reduces exposure but is not a guarantee.

Arrival and support
Prepare a mature aquarium and check its temperature and water chemistry before arrival. Ask us for transfer guidance suited to your water and transit conditions; do not apply a fixed acclimation time to every shipment. Keep shipping water out of the aquarium.
