Ember Tetra

The Ember Tetra is a fantastic, beginner-friendly schooling fish that brings a fiery spark to any nano aquarium. Originating from the Araguaia river basin in Brazil, these small tetras boast a gorgeous translucent orange-to-red coloration. They are incredibly peaceful, hardy, and possess a very tight schooling behavior, especially when navigating through driftwood and tall aquatic plants. Ember Tetras max out at just about 0.8 inches, making them highly suitable for tanks as small as 10 gallons. They adapt easily to local tap water conditions provided it is well-dechlorinated and filtered. They look most spectacular when housed in a large school over dark soil and surrounded by vibrant green foliage.
