Cherry Barb is a small shoaling fish suited to a thoughtfully planted community. Colour differs between individuals and sexes; it should not be confused with more boisterous Tiger Barbs.

Keeping Cherry Barb
Adult size and space
Around 5 cm standard length. Base at least 60 × 30 cm, planted with swimming space.
Water, group and feeding
20–27°C; pH 6–8; 2–20 dGH. Maintain a shoal and choose peaceful companions. Offer small varied dried, live and frozen foods.

Arrival and support
Prepare a mature aquarium and check its temperature and water chemistry before arrival. Ask us for transfer guidance suited to your water and transit conditions; do not apply a fixed acclimation time to every shipment. Keep shipping water out of the aquarium.
